Sony’s practically decade-old in-house studio PixelOpus is shuttering later this 12 months. The studio was working alongside Sony Footage Animation on their third undertaking till the announcement was made.
The studio was pretty unknown, solely having two video games underneath its belt — Entwined and Concrete Genie. The latter of which nobody even knew existed till the sport’s announcement.
It’s unclear why PixelOpus is being shut down after 9 years. PSX Excessive referred to as Entwined “easy and romantic.”
It took to Twitter to disclose the information. When reached out, Sony instructed IGN it was as a result of PlayStation Studios evaluated its portfolio and the studio’s undertaking standing and determined it was finest to shutter it.
