Recreation closes, controller turns off

So on my collection S, I’ve each a exterior hdd and controller plugged in. At any time when I give up a recreation, on this particular case, DayZ, I’m given this message. I attempted switching ports with no luck, however what scares me is my controller goes out on the similar time. Perhaps it’s a motherboard/usb problem however why would it not solely set off once I give up a recreation?
