So guarantee on my Elite S2 Core controller went from a 12 months to 1 day…

I’ve purchased Elite sequence 2 core controller in white initially of the 12 months. Shortly after buying I’ve registered it to my account and it had 1 12 months guarantee because it imagined to have. At the moment I needed to do one thing unrelated on my account and I’ve seen that it confirmed my controller was out of guarantee. When i expended particulars it now says “Microsoft restricted guarantee 1 day”. Is it like a bug or MS determined to make my day worse for no motive?
