My controller has grey spots

My Xbox controller that’s white has gotten these bizarre grey spots and so they largely seem on the underside facet subsequent to the battery insert, I’m pondering of getting a brand new one however I’m undecided. It first appeared once I acquired my Xbox again from being in a distinct place then, and it had spots after being in a cupboard for round 2 years.
